Let’s face it – we all have days where we need to feel a little more alive in the morning after waking up feeling about as fresh as a cemetery. Whether insomnia strikes, stress has come a-knocking, or you’ve simply had a late night, once in a while there are times where every one of us could use a little pick-me-up in the morning. This can especially be the case if you feel that you have overindulged in too much tasty or spicy foods or beverages the night before, as eating and drinking too much can certainly affect sleep and leave us feeling sluggish and sloth-like. 🙂
Introducing: Breath Pearls! Australian made and owned, Breath Pearls are great for fighting the less-than-fresh breath that can be caused by garlic, onions, coffee, tea, wine, protein-enriched drinks and protein-enriched foods (basically, all the good things in life).
Breath Pearls are a softgel capsule containing peppermint and parsley seed oils, and they contain no sugar or alcohol, both of which can be counterproductive in achieving fresh breath. By swallowing the capsules, the natural oils dissolve in the stomach, freshening breath from the inside, out. (Chewing gum always gave me a headache anyway from all that chewing, so I’m happy to make the switch)! 😉
Breath Pearls come in two varieties: Breath Pearls Original, and Breath Pearls Plus Gurana, and they are sold in Australian pharmacies including Priceline and Chemist Warehouse. They can also be purchased directly from the website at: breathpearls.com.au
Breath Pearls Original
Breath Pearls Original contains peppermint and parsley seed oils. Peppermint is typically used in Western herbal medicine for gastrointestinal discomfort, and parsley is traditionally used to promote fresh breath (Original is my personal favourite of the two).
Breath Pearls Plus Guarana
If you are rushing out the door with no time to stop for tea or coffee in the morning and you’re feeling a little sleep-deprived, Breath Pearls Plus Guarana may be for you! In addition to the peppermint and parsley seed oils, the capsules contain ginseng root and guarana to boost energy, improve stamina, and increase mental alertness and cognition, as well as provide long-lasting fresh breath. Each capsule contains 2.2 mg of caffeine (much less than a cup of coffee or an energy drink).
