Spring Sessions 5: Home Decorating

Hi everyone and welcome to a new edition of Spring Sessions!

This week I was excited to do a little bit of home decorating with some Spring/Summer flower arrangements. Even if you are on a budget, it really doesn’t take much to add a little bit of colour to your home. My rule of thumb is to buy fresh cut flowers whenever we have guests to stay, and the rest of the time we opt for the variety of which may not be real but sure do last a lot longer! 😉

For inspiration, I would recommend Pinterest as the go-to place to find new ideas.

In other news, I am now able to update you regarding the half marathon date. It looks like I will be participating in a run in Albuquerque coming up on May 3 (only two weeks to go)! As previously mentioned, the run I was planning on doing got cancelled due to road construction, and I am happy and lucky to have found another half marathon so that I can stick to my fitness goals and complete the original challenge I set for myself 🙂

Speaking of fitness, here are this week’s workouts:

Local 5K Run – Raising Awareness for Multiple Sclerosis (Time: 33 mins, 27 sec)

Yoga stretches from home

Big walk – I did about another 4K this afternoon. It’s good to get the extra miles in for this week’s total whether walking or running (as I’m sure to be alternating walking with running at the half marathon).

I was really sore (more than usual) by the end of Saturday, so I found Reclining Spinal Twist to be a lifesaver when it came to lower back and hip pain. (Much more talk of yoga coming up on the blog soon. Stretching is definitely something I can’t get enough of!)

It was great to end the week with another 5K race and also to celebrate Saturday with my 100th post AND Hot Tea, Travel, and Thyme’s One Year Birthday!

See you again next time,
