St Patrick’s Day Weekend: Update

Hi Friends,

Happy St Patrick’s Day for Friday (a little belated, I know)… Whatever you did, I hope it was fun!

Things have been very busy here at the House of Hales as we continue to work on our new house and getting settled after our big relocation. Every weekend there is so much to do: buying and ordering appliances, shopping at household stores, organizing the house, unpacking boxes, the list goes on!

I thought it was about time I wrote a little update, as I have many blog posts in the works right now, but along with getting the house in order it can be a long and slow process.

Travel Update: We thought Spain was the next trip for us, but it turns out the plans have changed and we are off to Germany instead. I will post more travel photos here soon (and on instagram).

Food Update: I wasn’t able to create a recipe for St. Patrick’s Day (the timing just didn’t work out with everything else that has been going on), but I do have some more recipes on their way in the near future, so stay tuned for those…

Well-Being Update: I had a great week with workouts, surprising myself by fitting in strength training (weight lifting) workouts on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, a yoga and foam roller workout on Thursday as well, a run on Friday, and a walk on Sunday. The half marathon I am hoping to complete is less than six months away, so I am trying to fit in as much strength training as possible (mainly dumbbells and kettle bell), and would like to increase my running and yoga workouts as well so that I can feel super strong for the big run.
